AP Café service uniform — cream shirt with olive bib apron over tailored trousers
The host role — unstructured jacket and trousers over a cream shirt

Lorica developed the uniform program for Audemars Piguet Café at Raffles Hotel, Singapore, ahead of its opening alongside AP House in the same building.

Designed for hospitality from the start

Lorica worked in alignment with Audemars Piguet's headquarters through creative development and sampling before launch.

That early process allowed hospitality requirements to guide the garments before they reached the floor. Movement, laundering, and repeated service use were part of the development process from the outset.

Visual direction drawn from the café interior

Lorica worked from the textures and depth of the room, drawing khaki, neutral, and soft oatmeal tones from the materials already present.

Those tones carried through the welcome host and across into AP House, allowing the café and boutique to read as one connected environment. The café held its own atmosphere while remaining visually tied to AP House.

Three roles within the service environment

The program covered three roles: the welcome host, the front-of-house service team, and back of house, including chefs and baristas.

Each role held a different relationship to the brand and to the client experience. The welcome host connected the café to AP House. The front-of-house team needed to hold presentation through service. Back of house required garments built for function, movement, and repeated wear.

Together, those differences allowed the café to operate as its own hospitality environment while staying aligned with AP House.

Garments made for weekly service

Every garment was designed specifically for the program. Aprons were developed from scratch, shirting carried the maison's embroidery, and a soft, low-profile mandarin collar placed the look within Singapore's Southeast Asian setting and the aesthetic of Raffles Hotel.

Japanese workwear informed the creative direction, especially its restraint, utility, and attention to how cloth wears over time. The fabrics were sourced from Japan to match that reference, with cotton twill, cotton canvas, and oxfords chosen for garments that could be laundered and worn on a weekly cycle without losing shape or color.

Back-of-house garments were constructed differently from front-of-house garments, with finishes selected to withstand machine washing.

The result is a café uniform program developed for service as well as presentation. It holds Audemars Piguet's standard inside a working hospitality environment, where the garments have to carry the brand through movement, laundering, and daily use.

Some of Lorica's most significant programs are not represented here. Relevant experience can be discussed directly.
